Testimonials....

I have been working with Stacey regularly for about two years now. I had never been in therapy before and terrified of what might be involved. At that time, I had serious unresolved self-esteem issues and was suffering from bouts of sever clinical depression that I attempted to alleviate with alcohol. I was terrified that our sessions would involve identifying and painstakingly analyzing all of the reasons that I was basically a pretty horrible person and addressing them one by one. I thought we might fixate on the many reasons for my inability to lead a happy, productive life because that pretty much sums up how I felt about myself at the time. As it turned out, Stacey provided a safe environment for me to honestly address these issues while offering support, emotional validation and professional, objective yet extremely nurturing presence. She identified my worthy, loving, positive attributes because I was incapable of seeing them for myself. Today I am living a much more peaceful, honest and fulfilled life. Stacey showed me that therapy is a journey, not a quick fix. " -m.s.

When I first went to see Stacey, I was really freaked out at the idea of talking to a therapist. I had terrible nightmares that made it almost impossible to function, but discussing the abuse I'd been hiding my entire life was terrifying. Stacey made it so much easier than I would have thought possible, though. She was so sweet. I'm sure I wasn't a very easy person to get to open up in the beginning, but over the years, she has helped me become such a stronger person. A person I can be proud of. Before I went to see her, my biggest concern about therapy was that she would pity me, which I never wanted, and she never once made me feel like I had something to be pitied for. She has a way of pushing me at exactly the right moments, and I've come to rely on her immensely as I continue trying to overcome the effects of the abuse, and what overcoming it means for me. Her adoration of her job comes through so much, and I think her desire to see the best in me makes me want to be the best as well. I would have never been able to be where I am today without Stacey's help. She has made such a huge impact in my life; I have never had anyone believe in me so whole-heartedly as she does. When I talk to her, I don't feel judged, I just feel loved. She's truly an amazing therapist, and I'm so honored to know her. You can't ask for anyone better than Stacey. -BH

I have been very pleased to work with Stacey Nyman. She is an excellent therapist and counselor. As a client, she has made me feel very confident in working with her. She has good understanding, is compassionate and conscientious. It is obvious that she cares very much for the healing and success of her clients. I have had to work with many therapists over the years, with differing levels of certification. From my experience, Stacey is in the upper levels of effectiveness. -Rick S.
